JEE Mains 2018- All You Need To Know

Joint Entrance Exam is one of India’s prestigious exams. It is regarded as most challenging undergraduate exam in India. JEE exam is being conducted at two levels- Mains and Advanced for admission in all engineering streams and B. Arch/ B. Plan. JEE-Mains and JEE-Advanced is conducted at national level by CBSE and IITs respectively. This exam will open the doors of IITs, NITs and other institutes of national importance. Exam Pattern :

JEE Mains paper consist of two papers and the description of papers are given below:
Paper-1:
This paper is for admission in B.E or B. Tech courses. This will be conducted both online and offline mode. This depends on the choice of candidates. You will be tested on the bases of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
There will be total 90 objective type questions (30 from each subject) of 360 marks. Candidates can opt for either Hindi or English as the medium of questions.
Time provided for answering the questions is three hours. There will be a penalty of 1 mark for wrong answer and every right answer will fetch 4 marks.
Paper-2:
This paper is for the candidates seeking admission in B. Arch/ Planning courses. This exam will be conducted on offline mode only. There will be 30 question based on Mathematics, 50 on aptitude and 2 questions of drawing. In total paper -2 will be 390 marks. Candidates can choose Hindi and English.
Exam will be of 3 hours duration. And negative marking of 1 mark will be there. For every right answer candidates will be awarded 4 marks.
